Director of the National Chamber Choir of Armenia, Honored Art Worker of Armenia, Armen Arabyan, is unhappy with Aram MP3’s “Not Alone” song presenting our country in the “Eurovision”.
Mr. Arabyan believes that the basis of all successful works in the West and the East lies in the theme of old Armenian and medieval poetry, while instead of accepting our national as a basis, we have imitated the West. Armen Arabyan, “I have long worked in Armenia’s national radio pop and symphonic band, and I both played and was the director there. I remember that since Elvina Makaryan the songs played by our famous singers, which were winning in the contests, were developed on the national basis. I’m not a nationalist, but in this matter I am principle. In my subjective opinion, the song played by our representative is like all the songs that are played at “Eurovision” or at various primitive TV shows. What song is it? A theme goes to Karabakh, then it is developed in the top, shouts and screaming and no national basis, there is no folklore, it’s good that it ranked the 4th. In fact, I’ve also talked with prominent musicians, and many of them agree with me,” said our interlocutor in the conversation with Aravot.am.
We inquired and it turned out that Armen Arabian had not heard the song of the winning country, and with regard to its presenter and the “Eurovision”, he has the following opinion, “Based on European civilization, a tolerance sermon toward gays was going on saying, look how free and upright we are, and all are equal.”

As for the show-business made-up images, Mr. Arabyan said, “Such things are acute emotions to attract attention. I cannot agree with you. We sent Inga and Anoush once with tipical Armenian song, Armenian melodies… and what was the result? I mean it’s not bad, but Aram MP3’s result is better! Eurovision is not only a show contest, the main thing there is the show and how the the song is presented. So choosing a ballad for ESC this year Armenia didn’t make a mistake… just the opposite! This year’s result is the highest of all years, and the same as Sirusho’s result 🙂
