“On June 26, I went to the Kentron Division of the Yerevan Police and filed a report on a crime,” said iLur.am journalist Hakob Karapetyan in the interview with Aravot.am. He, particularly, was in Baghramyan Avenue on June 23 during the dispersal of the participants of the protest against the electricity price hike and his professional activities were prevented by the police. Hakob Karapetyan reported just about this. According to the journalist, since then, there has not been any progress. “The police officer receiving the application-form said that a service investigation is underway. In other words, all the cases for that day are going to a center and are solved from there.” To our observation that in fact his report will not be examined separately, Hakob Karapetyan said that he has emphasized that he is reporting about a crime, “because the case compiled by them is talked about the compensation. This is a specific report about the hindrance to the professional activities of the journalist.”
