Political scientist Gagik Hambaryan opines that Russian businessman German Sterligov’s settlement in Artsakh, even if it does not benefit to the second Armenian state in terms of investments, anyway it is a great PR for Artsakh. In addition, one of his benefits is that it keeps the Azerbaijanis in tension. “I hope he will make major investments in Artsakh economy, if not, he has already secured the Artsakh PR, as he has always been a focal point by Russian and foreign mass media. He has aroused interest by the US and many Western mass media. It goes without saying that Sterligov’s visit will be a stimulus to advertise Artsakh. I do not doubt that there will be foreign mass media representatives attending his press conference held on Monday in Shushi, and this will also be a PR for the Artsakh Republic. Today, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has already officially announced that the world-famous opera singer Lyubov Kazarnovskaya and German Sterligov are listed in their infamous black list, the great part of the statement refers to the media representatives visiting Artsakh, who are intimidated that they will be included in the blacklist if they do not receive permit from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
This shows how much Azerbaijan fears from the fact that a large number of foreign media representatives arriving in Artsakh will directly reveal the Azerbaijan’s lies on Artsakh – that there is a criminal regime there, the Armenians have come and occupied the Azerbaijani territories, everything is in ruins, there is no population at all, there is an arms race, the civilians are missing, everybody there are soldiers, and so on and so forth… All of this will be quickly revealed. This shows how much Azerbaijan fears from the visit of Russian celebrities to Artsakh.
I hope that the authorities in Armenia and those doing a PR of our country outside will be much interested in this fact and next time, Kim Kardashian and other celebrities will arrive not in Armenia but Artsakh to advertise the second Armenian state to the world,” said Gagik Hambaryan.
