According to Piotr Switatski the experience of Estonia can be a good example for Armenia
“Estonia is a leader, no doubt, not only in this region, but also in Europe”,- Tuesday, September 29 during “E-Armenian” conference said Ambassador, Head of EU delegation to Armenia Piotr Switatski.
The conference was organized by Delegation of European Union in cooperation with the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), Tumo Centre for Creative Technologies and the Estonian Embassy. During the conference were discussed the negative and positive points of e-governance and the next steps of the system.
Piotr Switatski emphasized that European Union supports process in Armenia and wants to enhance e-governance model in Armenia. He believes that the experience of Estonia can be a good example for Armenia: “We hope that experience of Estonia can be of relevance to Armenia. And indeed in this field you can do a shortcut, you don’t have to follow the past of the others, what they did before, you can learn from their experience, from their mistakes and of course of their successions and do it in a short way. I know that Armenia is a land of talent: top chess players, top mathematicians, top academicians come from Armenia. To me no surprise: even the word mathematician sounds Armenian. So you have brains, Armenia has the experience and European Union has the funds, let’s make a perfect marriage and move on”.
