Overly “human”

January 27,2016 12:14

Armenia’s first president was operated on in the United States and discharged from the hospital. How should a normal person that has no mental pathologies react to such statement issued by Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s office? It is clear that he should wish health and speedy recovery to the first president. And how do the one who have political or “resentful” obsession of the mind. Forgetting all kinds of human norms, they are writing curses relying on the “cold-dark” and other circumstances. Although I think that Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s activities in the position of the president of Armenia should be estimated positively “in its aggregation”, it is secondary in this case. While, the primary, in my opinion, that there should be no person in the world irrespective of nationality, religion and political affiliations to whom we can wish to have health problems.

When I say that human qualities are more important than any other characteristic, people usually say me, “What a liberalistic approach! Is the Turk a man?” Or, are the Republicans (earlier, the PANM members) people? Such principled “patriotic” or “against-regime” stances, even if they are not encouraged by intellectuals, then an “understanding” attitude is usually displayed towards them, “certainly it is not good when they wish someone’s death but we can understand, people are led to such a situation…”

In the case of this “understanding”, theoretically, any offense against any person is justified. If the person does not belong to your nation, your community, your gender or your political supporters’ group then, if necessary, you can do anything with this person. There is also another problem here: not being able to be notable with our personal qualities, we rely on some “common features” of our team. It is easier to be self-manifested in the “flock”.

… Is the ethnic affiliation greatly important in the light of this-or-that manifestation of a man? I think, not. As a proof, I want to bring yesterday’s fact. Yesterday, in Strasbourg, at the PACE session, the person named Margar Yesayan and representing the Turkish parliament voted in favor of both the two anti-Armenian resolutions.
