The subject of “Aravot” online “Face to Face” program is debated by the “Heritage” party member Anahit Bakhshyan and PAP member Vardan Bostanjyan.
Hripsime Jebejyan – The incident with Arakel Movsisyan and Nikol Pashinyan caused a stir in the parliament. Mrs. Bakhshyan, years ago when you were a parliamentarian, a similar incident happened between Armen Martirosyan and Arakel Movsisyan when the latter called the parliamentarian a “numbskull”. What has changed in the parliament today in this respect?
Anahit Bakhshyan – The Parliament is a place of plurality. Such things are inevitable. If the same Arakel Movsisyan had worked as much as Nikol Pashinyan and had raised various problems of concern to our society so actual and precise, and then do all of this, we would say, yeah that’s ok. If a man works and corresponds to being a parliamentarian with his intellect, we see emotions in every parliament. I do not look at it as bad. I look bad at the fact that they are not distinguished both with literacy, intellect and their position, plus, they dare to curse at the same time, this is already a serious concern. I am also concerned about the fact that every time this noise rises when something is said to the RA President and they do their utmost to defend themselves in the most unskilled way. Is the president not offended of it? What does he feel? Does he need that Arakel Movsisyan stands up and curses Nikole for allegedly Nicole has said something to Serzh Sargsyan? These people have gone to the Parliament and do not understand that it is a place for clash of opinions. This man is not working, moreover, curses. Is his place in the parliament or elsewhere?
H. J. – According to Arakel Movsisyan, Serzh Sargsyan, apart from being a president, is also his combat friend. Whenever an insult is voiced addressed to Serzh Sargsyan, his dignity speaks. Don’t you think that there is some justification here? Someone in the Parliament says something to his president, and instinctively, he opposes.

A. B. – Not the instinct but intellect should work here, the selected vocabulary. Even if he is his friend and they have fought together, anyway, he does not defend the president here but discredits the president with his behavior.
H. J. – Mr. Bostanjyan, there is an Ethics Committee functioning at the National Assembly. Can it change anything in the conduct of the parliamentarians and do so that they do not call the journalists “a herd”, “I will break off your jaw”, and not curse?
Vardan Bostanjyan – Certainly, the Commission cannot do what we expect. Do not forget that there was October 27 at the National Assembly. In comparison, we can say, weren’t it better to curse but not the situation that happened. Irrespective of the level of literacy, the 131 parliamentarians have some merit. For example, if I were next to Arakel Movsisyan, I would say, dear Arakel, don’t do it. He would have listened to me.
H. J. – Mr. Bostanjyan, there are plenty of videos on how PAP MPs are voting for the absent parliamentarians which are also a disruption. Incidents have happened to Harutyun Gharagyozyan (Harut of Caramel) how he has cursed the judicial administrations. Incidents have also happened related to PAP member Hrant Davtyan who has cursed the police with the latest sexual character words. So, why do you not say your people, Harutyun, don’t do it, or Hrant, don’t do it. You are on the same team with them and you would be friends with them.
V. B. – It is also relative to be close friends. We do not sleep in one bed together. You also know how each of them becomes a deputy, with the exception of 1-2 people. In particular, I was brought here accidentally to become a parliamentarian. Do you want to go into the details for this? Is it not clear who becomes how? I want to say that this does not still mean that we are very close to each other and friends. We are acquaintances. We are a team but … Here you are, “Heritage” was a team. What is left from this team? Last year, on February 12, what happened to this team? Did you want me to say this?
H. J. – Can Serzh Sargsyan not include these undisciplined MPs, the kind of people on the list, or they are connected by chain? Do you have any solution?
V. B. – The chain always exists, we realize that the fight for the power is a terrible thing. It is excluded not to have any emotional stresses and outbursts. Simply the politician should not have a sarcastic approach to maximum mitigate it. This is our society. Whom do you deride? He is the president of your country. How can you speak like that about the president of your country? Do you think the mistake is one-sided? One says, you are working for one side, I want to understand, who are you?
