The Estonian National Male Choir concert was held in Yerevan
On April 25, the Estonian National Male Choir concert winning a “Grammy” and other prestigious prizes was held at Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall (artistic director and conductor Mikk Üleoja). The prestigious choir has arrived in Armenia by the invitation of “Yerevan Perspectives” international music festival. Prior to the concert, the audience stood up for a minute of silence in honor to the memory of Armenian sons killed in recent days.
The choir that guested in Armenia for the second time performed the works of Komitas, Mart Saar, Aleksander Läte, Konstantin Türnpu, Gavin Bryars, Henrik Ødegaard, Giovanni Bonato, Galina Grigorjeva that were accompanied by bravos and standing ovations. In the end of the concert, the choir twice returned back with new performances. The audience listened to cellist Aare Tammesalu as a solo enthusiastically. The latter is also a music producer and educator, also the head of “Chamber music concert cycle” held in Tallinn. In addition, on April 23, the Estonian National Male Choir has delivered a concert in Vanadzor at the E. Kzartmyan’s musical school to commemorate the Genocide victims.
