When active combat operations kicked off in April, we, the staff of “Aravot”, decided to report on casualties, injured, territories and positions based solely on the data of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and NKR Defense Army. I still think the decision is right because any other source can, one way or another, reflect the approaches of the rival or the domestic political interests of Armenia, and this could and can cause harm to our soldiers fighting for life and death. I am sure that intimidating people with these themes (especially, with my themes as mentioned above), infuriating, creating panic sentiments and spreading gossip is wrong and does not bring any good to the state.
It does not mean that I do not know how corrupt and greedy our government authorities are and to what extent their brains are greasy. It is still worth talking about today too but a/ repeating it 100 times, you will not reach their dismissal, b/ those who have at least a theoretical chance to replace them, in my opinion, are not good with anything. But the most important thing is that the debate of all these questions should not be extended to my mentioned purely military themes. On April 1-4, everybody understood it, now when the situation in the frontier is somewhat calmed down, many of use still began repeating the opponent’s propaganda theses regarding Artsakh-Azerbaijan war, sometimes guided by honest and sometimes by not-so-noble reasons. Perhaps they think that now they can. On the other hand, we must accept that Armenia has no other way out than to have a broad spectrum of opinions on all themes without exception.
… On July 26, 1915, the Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin had published an article in “Social Democrat” newspaper printed in Geneva. The article was entitled “The Defeat of One’s Own Government in the Imperialist War.” The article begins with the following thesis: “During a reactionary war, a revolutionary class cannot but desire the defeat of its government. This is axiomatic, and disputed only by conscious partisans or helpless satellites of the social-chauvinists.” (Bolshevik’s rhetoric has not been changed in 100 years).
Was Lenin a traitor? Despite numerous allegations, I think that no, he was not a traitor. He simply “eagerly” wanted to make revolution at all costs. All other problems Ilyich was subordinating to this goal. It is also an approach.
