My “constitution”

July 07,2016 12:31

The Constitution Day was marked this week. The commentators, campaigners and Facebook users expressed their contempt and irony of “nothing deciding and rigged adopted piece of paper”. Everything is correct, the widespread violation of laws cannot generate respect. Here too, I suggest approaching the issue from another angle.

Since childhood, about the age of 13-14, in the yard, at school and in a variety of other surroundings, I was listening to criticism that I am not a “quick-witted child”, “agile”,  “am not a person of this era”, and consequently, and it is going to be hard for me in this life. The first three characteristics are certainly true but the conclusion or, if you wish, the “forecast” was wrong, it is very easy for me in this life (I know that this is not a common allegation among us, people in Armenia usually prefer to take a suffering look in all cases), while life is very hard for many-many “quick-witted” whom I know. Because if you have relied on “being agile” then be sure that there will be more “agile” than you and in this case, it is very likely that you will begin complaining about “injustices of life.”

It is clear that in the conditions of Armenia, the most “agile” and “quick-witted” are now sitting in the parliament and the government, have castles and “box” cars and deserve the curse and envy of “less agile”. The reason, in my opinion, is that the transition to obvious market relations in a country like ours must be accompanied if not by the “state” then at least by moral “constitution” where deception, “cheating” and looting will be considered a highly reprehensible behavior. Otherwise, the representative of the “army of agile” generated during the Soviet era enter into a competition with each other, in which the most cynics win.

If you are interested, I can tell why the predictions about my “hard life” did not come true. Because I have my own “constitution.”

1/ Not to be offended by anyone and not to offend anyone.

2/ Whom I have ever caused pain, to apologize personally or in the “distance.”

3/ Not to compete with anyone, not to obtain self-affirmation on the account of others, not to condition your own success with the failure of others.

4 / Not to try proving anything to anyone. I said my opinion once and that’s all, who wants to agree agrees and who does not want – argues. If they tend to argue, I say, “Well, keep to your opinion.”

5/ To lean, read and study something new and “non-professional” every day. It helps not to be focused only on working problems and obtain possibly a “wide” glance on life.

6/ To look for the roots of all my failures, troubles and problems in me.

Am I able to constantly fulfill the points of my “constitution”? Of course, not. But I think that any person should have similar “orientated points”. In this case, the Constitution of the state will be created from the bottom rather than imposed from the top, moreover thru suspicious referenda.
