The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia will finance construction of 10 homes that were destroyed during the four-day war that took place in Artsakh in April. This is what President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia Arsen Ghazaryan stated in an interview with “Armenpress”. “Our board decided that this year’s plan will be to restore the homes that have been destroyed in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to estimates, each destroyed home will cost AMD 25 million.
The war destroyed 200 homes, of which 80 have been completely destroyed, meaning 80 new homes need to be built. The rest will be restored. The Union will be covering the expenses for construction of 10 homes,” Arsen Ghazaryan said. He informed that the funds would be allocated by the end of this year. On the night of 1 April and on the morning of 2 April, Azerbaijan unleashed large-scale military attacks along the entire length of the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, bombarding not only the military positions of the Armenian armed forces, but also peaceful settlements.
On 2 April, the Azerbaijani army fired missiles towards Martuni with the MM-21 (“Grad”) missile system, killing 12-year-old Vaghinak Grigoryan and injuring two children. On 3 April, it was announced that the Azerbaijanis had monstrously executed, tortured and maimed three peaceful civilians the day before. Based on the statistics provided by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Artsakh, the four-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan caused the NKR AMD 779 million in damages.
