“The guys made a reasonable decision and substantiated from their point of view” – said Anahit Bakhshyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council, in an interview with Aravot.am.
In her words, it is too early to talk about the outcome of this move, “However, I am very sorry for the killed policemen and again I extend my condolences to their families, in my opinion, we had quite useless and senseless victims and wounded. I am worried about a question of who will be responsible for the innocent victims and the wounded, for the 17 years old guy losing his eye. I feel sorry for all detainees.
I hope that all of them will be released tomorrow. I have said and will repeat that I am against the armed struggle, rebellion and violence, the perpetrators of which – “Sasna Tsrer”, no matter how noble they are in their intentions and goals that generate from the interests of the public and the people, as we saw, it did not happen without victims and injured and without blood, which they understood and laid down their weapons. What did we gain? Did the authorities truly learn lessons and will review their conduct, yet it is unknown, but the fact that a part of the society kept them in shock for 14 days and gave very bitter pills, it is obvious.”
