On August 23, the Neri Conai Hall of the Italian city of Rimini hosted the presentation of Italian journalist Gian Michalesin’s documentary film entitled “Nagorno-Karabakh: The Return of the War”. The event was organized by the International Center for Peace and Freedom on the sidelines of the 37th Meeting in Rimini, as reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Before the screening, RA Ambassador to Italy Victoria Baghdasaryan, the film director Gian Michalesin and Director of the International Center for Peace and Freedom Roberto Fontolan gave their welcome speeches.
In her speech, Ambassador Baghdasaryan expressed gratitude to the film’s director for presenting the truth about Artsakh and the aggression that Azerbaijan unleashed in the conflict zone in April. She also expressed gratitude to the organizers of the screening for working closely with the embassy and organizing the presentation. The Ambassador briefly presented the history and essence of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and emphasized that Gian Michalesin’s film not only presents the history of the struggle of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, but also calls on everyone to not be indifferent to the violence and discrimination against people and nations.
