Poland is important partner in the EU-Armenia relations, Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan told at the meeting with Deputy Marshal of Polish Sejm Ryszard Terlecki.

As the press department of the RA National Assembly reports, at the meeting held in Warsaw in the scope of the parliamentary summit “Solidarity and Sovereignty”, the interlocutors highlighted the Armenian-Polish cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats.

Deputy Speaker Naghdalyan stressed that while being a member state to the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenia consistently enhances its partnership agenda with the European Union.

Naghdalyan next reflected on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and draw his colleague’s attention to the military operation unleashed by Azerbaijan in early April, resulted in numerous human losses, including among the civilian population.

Naghdalyan noted that Armenia positively assesses the condemnation of the ceasefire agreement by the international community, yet untargeted and general condemnations are not sufficient to restrain the side responsible for the large scale military confrontation.

Azerbaijani encroachments on Artsakh as well as its torpedoing and blocking the constructive and humanitarian proposals in the whole process of the negotiations are characteristic of an aggressor, Naghdalyan said.
