BRUSSELS, Belgium (A.W.)—The recognition of the Nagorno-Karabagh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) will be the number one focus for the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD/Armenian National Committee of Europe) said EAFJD Communications Director Bedo Demirjian in recent interview with Armenia’s Armenpress news service.
“The recognition of Nagorno-Karabagh is a number one working issue for us. In this regard, the Armenian National Committee of Europe continues raising the Karabagh issue in various European circles,” Demirjian said.
Speaking about a Belgian parliamentary delegation’s recent visit to NKR, Demirjian said that their impressions were positive after given the opportunity to get better acquainted with the NKR issue. “After the delegation’s visit, it is safe to say that NKR’s position among the Belgian parliamentarians is strengthening. They [parliamentarians] were properly briefed on the Karabagh issue and we will continue to carry out active work in the future”, he said.
Demirjian also spoke about the upcoming direct flights between Yerevan and Brussels and their significance in strengthening Armenia-European Union (EU) ties.
