After the April war, the Ministry of Defence was not particularly interested in the systems of controlling the borders,- says Samvel Gevorgyan, Director of such devices manufacturing PSI Company. This company also participates in the “Made in Armenia” exhibition, which is organized in the “Meridian” Expo Center. The exhibition of Armenian goods will run from September 19-22. In the morning, the RA President made a tour of the pavilions questioning the entrepreneurs. The businessman said that in 2008, he won a prize in Singapore in a world contest but when they introduced their devices in Armenia for the President’s Award, they were explained that these devices are not suitable for the President’s Award. “We ranks the 5th among 800 companies and then won the prize,” said Mr. Gevorgyan. According to him, until the April war, people from the Ministry of Defence met with us and asked questions about the devices, saying that we need such devices but we do not have the money. “We have a technology that is nowhere in the world, a medical sensor that records the heart beats. “Samsung” was negotiating with us but we refused as they wanted to take the idea,” – said Mr. Gevorgyan who believes that these devices can bring hundreds of millions of dollars to our country if the government invests 10 million US dollars.

The company representatives said that, for example, in the US, their products are consumed in the nursing homes. Slovenia is also interested in the products of this company. More than 300 manufacturers attended the exhibition: pharmaceutical, plastic items, soft drinks and juice production. The expectation of business companies in knitwear and other industries is one: to find consumers and new export markets.
