After visiting Armenia at the request of Armenia Development Fund, Der Standard newspaper’s journalist Christian Schachinger published an article about Armenia presenting several Armenian tourist destinations, press service of the Fund informed “Armenpress”.
The journalist was mostly admired by the deep roots of the Christian culture and the centuries-old hospitality traditions in Armenia.
“Wines, monasteries, in case of being interested in both, one should visit Armenia”, the journalist writes and recalled that the oldest wine production was here in 2007.
About the Christian faith in Armenia, the journalist writes: “In the art of the Armenian Apostolic Church there are no cruel scenes of crucifixion in practice. Instead, here you can see root trees in the cross-stones, the tree of life as a fertility symbol with pomegranate on it”.
