On October 6, Tigran Mkrtchyan, Armenian Ambassador to Lithuania met with Robertas Dargis, President of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
At the beginning of the meeting the Armenian Ambassador thanked the president of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists for the active participation and support during the Armenian-Lithuanian business forums held in Vilnius, 2014 and in Yerevan, 2015.
They discussed the process of implementation of the agreements reached during these forums.
It was stressed that the trade volume between the two countries has been doubled in comparison to 2015.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan noted that Armenia may introduce additional economic attractiveness, taking into account that it can serve as a connecting link between the EU and Iran, as well as EU countries and Eurasian Economic Union. In this context, an understanding was reached to organize a new business forum in 2017.
The Armenian Ambassador underlined the importance of the inclusion of the Armenian companies in the economic programmes held in the framework of the EU Eastern Neighborhood Policy.
Robertas Dargis and Tigran Mkrtchyan also discussed the prospects of potential cooperation in the advancing IT field respectively in Armenia and Lithuania.
Rena Saribekian, the representative of the Development Fund of Armenia in Baltic States, participated in the meeting.
