On October 20 at around 23:00-23:30the Azerbaijani forces have initiated sabotage penetration attempts on the eastern and southern directions of the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. As the press department of the Karabakh Army reports, the action initiated by the adversary’s special units was timely detected by the Defense Army vanguard units and was thrown back to their initial positions sustaining losses.
The Defense Army had no losses during the preventive actions.
Apart from the sabotage penetration attempts, on the night of October 20-21 the Azerbaijan forces violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan for 50 times, firing around 2 800 shots toward the Armenian positions from weapons of different calibres.
According to the statement, the Azerbaijani forces have also applied DShK heavy machine gun (200 shots) on the southern direction.
Defense Army vanguard units continue the full control of the frontline and stay ready to prevent any provocative action by the adversary, inflicting painful losses.
