On October 21, Edward Nalbandian received Arya Makkonen, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Finland to Armenia (residence in Helsinki), on the occasion of presenting the copies of her credentials.
Congratulating Madame Makkonen on her appointment, Edward Nalbandian wished her a success in her important mission as an ambassador and expressed hope that through her activities she would promote the further development and deepening of the Armenian-Finnish relations.
Thanking for kind words, Arya Makkonen, in her turn, emphasized that Finland is determined to develop friendly relations with Armenia and she will spare no effort to accomplish the task set before her.
During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the ways to deepen bilateral relations, such as expanding the legal framework, deepening cooperation within international organizations, promoting business contacts, intensifying the inter-parliamentary cooperation, developing cultural exchanges.
