In view of the recent escalation of the conflict in Syria, Aleppo City, in particular, IDeA Foundation, in coordination with the Representation of UNHCR in Armenia, contributed additional financial support to Mission Armenia Social NGO operating emergency assistance projects for displaced Syrian families seeking protection in Armenia.
IDeA Foundation complements the efforts already under way at the governmental, international and societal level, by contributing $250,000 at this stage. This will be allocated through the strategic partner AGBU, that has been involved in relief efforts from the early days of the conflict, as well as, non-governmental organizations which currently implement assistance projects for displaced Syrians in Armenia: Mission Armenia Social NGO, Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (CCO) and RepatArmenia.
The Mission Armenia team wishes to express appreciation to IDeA Foundation for the initiative aimed at continuous support to displaced Syrian families and expresses its determination in operating the joint project with IDeA Foundation targeting families seeking refuge outside Syrian borders.
Mission Armenia also supports IDeA Foundation’s continuous fundraising efforts and calls all adherents to join this fundraising initiatve through IDeA’s special accounts or direct contributions.
