Americans are sick and tired of political correctness: respect black people, respect women, respect Muslims. A politician appeared who says: do not respect, say what you want in their address, down with hypocrisy. Certainly, there is a grain of truth in it because the people who set up these restrictions actually are not so virtuous, they speak about tolerance but are ready to destroy not only the gentiles but also those who think beyond their dogmas out thinkers. Ultimately, those who speak of high moral standards must, first of all, have spotless hands while the American political elite is so corrupt that our corrupt against these politicians are simply kindergarten children.
I, however, am in favor of political correctness, and why only political, correctness in general. I am in favor of diversity of cultures and ideas, I am in favor of respectful attitude towards all people who are different than me in some way. You might say that it is an outdated approach now when all sorts of contradictions are aggravated in the whole world. Or, as Armenians are used to say, “now when the situation of my nation is critical.” But the same things about the escalated controversies and “critical moment” are said over 25-30 centuries, and they are said not only by Armenians but also by all nations. (Now, Trump’s supporters say, “we are robbed for 30 years.” Hence, there is also “looting and plunder” in America). Maybe those who say so are aggravating the controversies or “make the moment critical?” It is another question that one must be correct sincerely, “with the bottom of heart” rather than under the pressure of outer and imposed dogmas.
The word “correct” means also true and in conformity with the situation. If I measure the time in kilograms and the weight in kilometers, it is not correct. Our disputes are not correct too. At this moment, every second “status” in the Facebook is about collecting 1000 AMD. The idea truly needs a serious revision. But in the case of 90 percent of these “statuses”, the counter argument sounds approximate as follows, “go and seize this money from the rich.” As a populism, it sounds perfect but as a way, it is a deadlock. We have already passed it.
The point that money must be raised for the sake of our army, I am in favor of it with both my hands up. Simply, the implementation of this idea requires finding legitimate and logical mechanisms. And the most important component in this matter is the trust. The deficit for it is strongly felt.
