On November 12, Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, met with Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the Civil Aviation Minister and Special Envoy of the Government of India.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the continuous development of relations with India, based on centuries-old friendship between the two peoples and the mutual understanding between the two countries.
Thanking for the reception, the Special Envoy of India emphasized that his country highly values the further strengthening of friendly relations with Armenia.
During the meeting the discussions focused on the issues on the agenda of the Armenian-Indian bilateral cooperation, as well as international and regional matters.

The sides also touched upon the necessity to intensify bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade and economy, science and education, healthcare, tourism and culture, agriculture.
The interlocutors commended the cooperation within international organizations. The importance to intensify inter-parliamentary contacts, expand legal framework, organize high-level mutual visits was outlined.
The Ministers discussed issues regarding cooperation in the sphere of Civil Aviation, as well as the possibility to resume flights between Yerevan and New Delhi.
Edward Nalbandian briefed the guest on the consequences of military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh in April and the situation in negotiation process they have resulted. Foreign Minister of Armenia outlined that Armenia highly appreciates the continuous support of India to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through negotiations.
The Special Envoy of the Government of India, in his turn, highly appreciated Armenia’s support to the issues sensitive to India.
