Armen Yengoyan’s photo exhibition entitled “On the Frontline”, which is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the independence of Armenia, has kicked off in Shushi Art Center. The event has been organized due to the support by Tekeyan Centre Fund and Shushi Museum SNCO. This is the second exhibition of the 60 sketches of “On the Frontline” gallery. The first one was held in Tekeyan Centre of Yerevan in September 2016.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Diocese of Artsakh of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Narine Aghabalyan, Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs of NKR, heads of Shushi and Kashtagh districts, artists from Shushi, Stepanakert and Berdzor, as well as students and servicemen.
Tekeyan Centre Fund informs that the exhibition with the slogan “Our future is in reliable hands”, touches upon the April heroic battles and shows the desire of the Armenian people to go on living and creating. The author had left for the frontline not as a photographer, but as a volunteer joining “Mergelyan” squad. Meeting with the young heroes he could not remain indifferent and tried to present in a unique way the life and the events of the frontline of those days.
When looking the servicemen in the eyes you start thinking how strong the Armenians faith is in God and you understand how patriotic the generation that grew up in the 25 years of independence is. The soldiers’ eyes show kindness, faith in the future and hope. God bless the Armenian soldiers and the Armenian nation.
“On the Frontline” photo exhibition will be open till 30 November of this year.
