The State Food Security Service of the RA Ministry of Agriculture has carried out state supervision over the 50 economic entities engaged in dairy production for the purpose of managing the available risks in the sphere. The list of the entities have been published in the website of the service.
The service reports that due to the discovered discrepancies the sale of the products of 20 economic entities has been suspended, and sample were taken from the available products in order to conduct laboratory examination.
The laboratory examination has revealed various inconsistencies, namely deviations in bacteriological content (golden staph, intestinal bacteria, yeast). In the products of four entities an unacceptable amount of antibiotics has been revealed. In some cases vegetable oil has been used instead of animal fat.
Based on the gross violations of the legislative requirements regarding the dairy production, as well as the inconsistencies revealed as a result of the laboratory examination, several entities (PE Anahit Zalinyan, PE Artak Manvelyan, PE Surik Zarbabyan, PE Gayane Martirosyan, “Bandivan Milk” LLC, PE Murad Petrosyan, PE Gegham Mkhitaryan, PE Diana Nersisyan, PE Gagik Manukyan, PE Garegin Kochinyan, PE Artavadz Grigoryan, PE Armen Sukiasyan, “Aparan Cheese Factory” CJSC and PE Andranik Arakelyan) have been assigned to suspend the production process and to undertake necessary measures to eliminate the current inconveniences.
The sale of the products considered dangerous as a result of laboratory examination have been suspended by the Service and are subject to elimination as prescribed by law.
The sphere of dairy production will be under state supervision permanently. The Service will be consistent with the disclosure of the issues in the sphere regularly presenting the results of the supervision to the public.
