“If you go to Garni, there is a mosaic there where it is written: “We have worked, but got nothing”, hardly anybody will tell this story to us, however, in our platform, you will find this and much other interesting storytellings about this place,” said Albert Poghosyan, the co-founder of this social platform of 360 STORIES virtual storytelling. 360 STORIES project is a social touring platform of virtual storytelling which reflects historic and sightseeing places of 5 cities until now, including Yerevan, with interesting storytelling about these sights.
As mentioned by the founders of the project, in the tourism industry, this is a new opportunity to facilitate the task of the tourists and to deliver a more civilized service. For example, the tourist visiting our country can make a virtual tour right in the Hotel to see which place he wants to visit. As presented by the founders, this also allows using your time more optimal. For example, visiting Rio de Janeiro if the person has 3 days and wants to understand which sight to visit, he can first learn about these sights through 360STORIES and choose which one to visit.
Soon, Western Armenia will also appear on this platform. So far, the responsible of the project include five cities: Yerevan, Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro, Prague, and Barcelona. Representatives of tourism industry were also present at the presentation of the project. “If some time ago and now we share stories and events on the social networks, in the case, now, all this is moved to the virtual reality and the person is having a full picture of the site by viewing it through the 360 degree,” noted the founders of the project. Incidentally, the users can also enrich this platform with their stories.
