Azerbaijani forces have violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan around 50 times on the night of January 10-11, firing over 900 shots towards the Armenian positions from weapons of different calibers and sniper rifles.
As the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Ministry reports more intensive violations of the Azerbaijani forces came in eastern (Martuni) direction with 300 shots fired toward the Armenian positions.
Defense Army frontline units continued carrying out their combat duties and retaliated only in case of extreme necessity, reads the Defense Army statement.
