Next cyclone approaches Armenia, Meteorological Centre forecast

Feeble snow is expected today in Lori and Tavush regions of Armenia, while whether with no precipitation is predicted in the country’s other regions, Head of the Meteorological Centre of the Hydromet Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations Gagik Surenyan noted the aforesaid in a post on facebook, Panorama.am reports.
According to the weather forecast of the center, the next active cyclone will approach the territory of Armenia tomorrow afternoon with abundant snowfalls in all regions of Armenia, the wind will intensify up to 15-20 m /s snowstorms and low visibility forecast in certain mountainous areas.
At night of February 2 the precipitation will cease, and clear weather is no precipitation is predicted in the majority of regions on February 3-4.
Overnight February 2-3 the air temperature will drop drastically due to the penetration of arctic air masses into the territory of the republic with -25…-30 °C expected in Shirak, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Aragatsoton and mountain areas of Vayots Dzor regions.
“16…-18 °C will be recorded in upper parts of Yerevan and -23…-25 °C in lower areas of the capital,” Surenyan wrote in a post.
