On April 19, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Russia were held at the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Armenia. The Armenian side was headed by Gagik Hovhannisyan, the Head of the Arms Control and International Security Department, and Gagik Ghalatchian, the Head of the European Department. The Russian side was headed by Andrey Kelin, Director of the Pan-European Cooperation Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
During the consultations views were exchanged on the current issues of the Pan-European cooperation and security as well as on the possibilities of finding solutions for them. The sides also touched upon the ongoing processes within the framework of the Pan-European structures.
At the end of the consultations the Russian delegation met with Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimyan.
On the same day Ashot Hovakimyan and Andrey Kelin briefed Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on the results of the consultations.
