Azerbaijani forces broke the ceasefire across the Line of Contact between Artsakh (NKR) and Azerbaijan more than 50 times, firing 800 shots from weapons of different calibers towards the Armenian positions on April 24 to overnight April 25. As the Press Service of the Artsakh Defense Ministry told Panorama.am, the adversary actively applied sniper rifles (50 shots) at the southeastern and eastern directions of the Contact Line.
On April 24, at around 17:50, as a result of the ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani forces, Artsakh Defense Army soldier Narek Hmayak Harutyunyan (b. 1997) sustained a fatal gunshot wound at one of the military units located in the eastern direction.
Artsakh Defense Ministry shares the grief of the loss and extends condolences to the family members, relatives and fellow servicemen of the deceased soldier.
Artsakh frontline units took countermeasures to suppress the Azerbaijani activeness.
