Around 20 young Armenians will have the opportunity to work for ministries, government agencies and other government institutions for 12 months, thanks to the EU-supported “Young Expert Scheme Armenia” (YES Armenia). The launch of the programme was announced today by the EU Delegation to Armenia and is scheduled to start in September 2017.
The expert scheme is being implemented by the Armenian Centre for Strategic Initiatives. It will offer young people an opportunity to work on the government’s priority projects, central to reforms in the country. The EU Delegation highlighted that the YES Armenia programme will also provide the perfect opportunity to start building trust between youth and the public sector. It will bring new dynamics and energy into the civil service and contribute to its modernisation, the EU Delegation’s press release added.
The call for applications for the positions of young experts will be published in the next 3 weeks on the EU Delegation to Armenia’s website.
