Azerbaijani Defense Ministry had disseminated information as if a 50-year-old Armenian man had been found in the village of Kemerli, Ghazakh region.

Aravot.am contacted community leaders in Noyemberyan region bordering with Kemerli village but they denied the rumor about anyone disappearing from their village.

According to the circulating rumor, the man is Zaven Karapetyan, born on November 16, 1974, who, as if, is a resident of Dovegh.

However, according to the voter register, a person named Zaven Karapetyan, born in 1974, is registered in Vanadzor, in Maymekh street. Vanadzor nursing home for the Elderly is also located at the mentioned address.

Aravot.am asked the director of the nursing home if there was anyone registered in the nursing home with such data. However, our calls remained unanswered. Director Manushak Ohanyan did not want to speak about that.

Vanadzor Mayor Mamikon Aslanyan said that the man had registered in the nursing home, since he had nowhere to live, “If I’m not mistaken he had been in charge of one of the orphanage houses in Yerevan. In mid-2000 he came to Vanadzor, registered in the nursing home to receive a passport. He did not have any residence, any place to live. He has spent nights in different places, at some point also has worked in a garbage disposal. He is a strange man, with mental problems. He is not from Vanadzor by birth. He appeared here for some while, and disappeared again”.
