Five pilot tourist destinations in Belarus – Polack, Miadziel, Mscislaŭ, Kamieniec & Pružany and Aŭhustoŭski kanal – have been given new logos thanks to the EU-funded project “Support to Sustainable Tourism Development in Belarus”. Implemented in cooperation with the country’s Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the project targets tourism as one of the drivers of economic growth in the regions and rural areas of Belarus.
“Branding of tourism destinations is an important issue and a great problem in tourism marketing”, said the EU Delegation to Belarus in a press release. The EU assistance came at an appropriate time as the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus discusses the issue of branding with the World Tourism Organization.
