Hermine Naghdalyan to Pashinyan: ‘Turkish tomatoes have always been there in Armenian market’

September 28,2017 13:40

As informed earlier,  the question represented by “Yelq” bloc on creating a temporary committee in the framework of the bill of Armenia’s withdrawal from the EAEU was declined by the Permanent Committee on Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly, the Committee members voted against.

“Yelq” bloc MP Aram Sargsyan responded: “Why do you act like enemies, I do not understand. Can you not say that the figures brought forth by Mr. Pashinyan are not a reality? Why do you not want this temporary committee to be formed?”

Then Aram Sargsyan also recalled the book by MP from RPA Artashes Geghamyan’s, in one of the articles of which he has substantiated the importance of becoming EAEU member. Sargsyan told: “Let Mr. Geghamyan come to this committee, read his book in 6 languages, maybe I will understand as well…”

Artashes Geghamyan responded: “I have several books, which one?” “Whichever you want”, replied Aram Sargsyan. To Aram Sargsyan’s views referred the President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, RPA MP Armen Ashotyan and RPA MP Hermine Naghdalyan afterwards, insisting that there is no enemy-like attitude in place. “We do not have an issue to rebuke each other. This state our wonderful contacts among themselves”, assured Hermine Naghdalyan. As regards EAEU membership, as stated by her: “Figures speak of the fact that EAEU economic fall has stopped, we step towards an increase. Mr. Pashinyan, we export tomatoes and agricultural products. A part of Armenian market has been Turkish tomatoes, we have always imported tomatoes, both during the time in EAEU membership and before that.”
