On January 22-24, 2018, President Serzh Sargsyan will pay a working visit to the French Republic, Paris and Strasbourg. On January 22-23, within the framework of his visit, the President of Armenia will meet with President of France Emmanuel Macron, President of Senate Gérard Larcher, National Assembly President François de Rugy and members of the France-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The Presidents of Armenia and France will sum up the results of their meeting at a joint press conference.
President Sargsyan will meet with Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and representatives of the Armenian community at the Town Hall of Paris.
On January 24, the Armenian President will attend the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, where he will deliver a speech and answer the questions of MPs.
Serzh Sargsyan will also meet with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland, President of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) Guido Raimondi, as well as with President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) Gianni Buquicchio and with the newly elected President of PACE.
