Junior Sergeant Hovhannes Poghosyan injured in Artsakh yesterday visited Yerablur to pay tribute to the memory of his fellow servicemen.
“Reborn by a miracle”, this is how Poghosyan is called, who had received a severe gunshot in Talish. Our soldier walked to Yerablur himself, after rehabilitation courses he is now able to walk and to speak.
“I cannot forget those days”, he said during an interview about the April war. “It was about 2 a.m., I got up and went downstairs to the first floor. Bombs were exploding. In the morning we went up to the posts, we fought, I received a wound, then it was peaceful. I went back to the frontline on May 13, with an injury, and was wounded again. I cannot forget the April”. He said that he is better now.
We noted that the April war also gave us a unique opportunity to correct our mistakes, and we asked him, whether he thinks we have been able to fill the gaps within these two years. He responded: “Yes, indeed. Our army should be strong. Everything is fine now. We are on the firm ground now”.
