As news on Vano Siradeghyan’s return (Armenian politician who disappeared in 2000 and is wanted by the Interpol) is widely being circulated those days, journalists asked the leader of the anti-governmental movement, candidate for PM, Nikol Pashinyan whether in case he comes to power, he will take measures for Vano Siradeghyan’s return or not. Pashinyan replied that he cannot provide precise guarantees, but he assured that lawful system will be established in the Republic of Armenia.
To the question whether what Pashinyan plans to do after becoming Prime Minister, Pashinyan replied that if tomorrow’s elections are a success, the new Government shall be formed within 15 days. He assured that they will not have any problems with appropriate members.
On revealing the 1 March events, Pashinyan stated that they shall definitely be revealed. To the question whether they are going to inquire Robert Kocharyan on that issue, and maybe he is worried that is why he has already given an interview on that, Pashinyan replied: “I insist on conducting a profound preliminary investigation.”
To the question whether it is possible that Pashinyan enters a coalition with “Tsarukyan” alliance and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, and a government of national consent is established, Pashinyan answered that they will discuss that issue, and they will make conclusions from the results of the elections in the Parliament.
The journalists reminded Pashinyan about his previous mottos. The latter answered that overcoming the domestic political crisis is a priority for now. “We must overcome this. All the reasonable steps that will be necessary for overcoming the crisis, will definitely be taken. We will make decisions after discussions. Prime Minister elections will be held tomorrow in the first place, without any prerequisites. This is what matters for formulating a normal working environment.”
