According to Ashot Bleyan, director of the “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” educational centre, an environment of ordinary teachers should be created where everyone must take responsibility for his actions and become the author of his own work. “Make a step and become the author of your own work, create your own school. It is clear that you act in a state where there are standards”, said Ashot Bleyan, adding that educational system must include new beneficiaries. “Our suggestion is to create a school network through Armenia”, he added.
Education expert, Yerevan State University lecturer Serob Khachatryan highlighted the importance of creation of alternative public education platforms, noting that there is a well-known approach today in Armenia, which is perfectly illustrated in the video of the famous song of “Pink Floyd”.
According to him, in the context of alternative general education, children’s individuality should be emphasized, whereas the existing “alignment” leads to failure. Countries that allow schools to work diversely and independently, have citizens of diverse mind-set. If 90 percent think the same, that means there is only one person. The problem of general education is to reveal the individuality of the child, which will then make the world a better place”, Serob Khachatryan is sure.
