Will corruption coils be revealed?

June 24,2018 15:34

In response to the question whether they start investigating how the Staff was managed, as former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Movses Hakobyan was appointed to the position, whereas for many years the press has touched upon his involvement in corruption, Head of the State Oversight Service David Sanasaryan said that whatever the Prime Minister has said is in force, and that will not change: “As for the official mentioned by you, whatever the press writes is different from the facts”.

In response to the question whether they have searched Movses Hakobyan, he said: “I have already noted that there is no one towards whom I have any constraint and that I will refrain from taking steps. But I think Movses Hakobyan will also help us as a person holding a high post in the army for so many years to find corrupt coils”.

In response to the question whether he was appointed in order to help them find offenders, David Sanasaryan noted not to ask him questions that should be addressed to the Prime Minister. Referring to the Police statement on the discovered ammunition possessed by Hovhannes Hovsepyan, former Head of the Oversight Service of the President of the Republic of Armenia, and to the fact that according to his bill of entry, he has accumulated enormous wealth, we asked David Sanasaryan whether he is going to live on salary, because the risk of getting rich in this position is very high. In response to the question the latter said: “Of course, I will live on salary. I have no property, and have had no job, since I have been in the streets recently, thus I have zeros in my accounts. When I finish my tenure, I will again present my bill of entry, and you will see that there has been only entries of salary”.
