At a meeting with his German counterpart on June 29, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan referred to the announcement on Azerbaijan’s military cooperation with Germany recently made by Azerbaijan. A spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan told this to the journalists. He noted that he could not give further details, but said: “The issue was discussed, and we are satisfied with the explanations of the German side”.
Then Tigran Balayan commented on the fact that Azerbaijan has recently obtained American helicopters. He stressed that some people make statements over it in social networks and in the political field that are not true. “In fact, the Foreign Ministry has been dealing with the issue much earlier than it appeared in the media”.
Tigran Balayan announced that these helicopters were not of American production but were used in several countries by American patents: “The purchase procedure for helicopters was for non-military purposes”.
Let us remind that Razm.info website expert Taron Hovhannisyan recently told reporters that helicopters could appear in Azerbaijan through a third country, be upgraded to be used for military purposes.
