A man in Turkey’s Central Anatolian province in Konya has been fined for driving a car with his feet while sitting on its roof. Reports Hurriyet.
Another driver had called the police after spotting the man in traffic on Konya’s Kudüs Avenue on Aug. 12.
According to Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, the man was identified by the police as Süleyman Ç., who is the son of the legal owner of the car.
Süleyman Ç. was fined a total of 324 Turkish Liras ($50) for risking the safety of traffic and not wearing a seat belt.
His father, on the other hand, was fined a heftier penalty of 1,834 Turkish Liras ($282) for “picking up a passenger and making him sit outside the vehicle.”
