Coordinator of Helsinki Initiative-92 of Nagorno-Karabakh Committee, laureate for Human Rights and Peace international awards, Karen Ohanjanyan wrote on his Facebook page: “August 17 marks the 100th day of Nikol Pashinyan’s tenure, the Prime Minister of Armenia, leader of the unity of love, tolerance and of the entire Armenian nation. Nikol Pashinyan is going to hold a rally in Yerevan that day. As an Armenian citizen, I will definitely take part in this rally. In fact, I am one of the first Artsakh people who supported the revolutionary ideas and made my Facebook page a propaganda platform for power change in Armenia. Universal injustice, large-scale corruption, low level of physical and civilian security of the Armenian people, degradation of the Armenian image are some of the phenomena that made the Armenian people stand by Nikol Pashinyan and his supporters and start a revolution for social and political rehabilitation of Armenia.
Within 100 days of Nikol Pashinyan’s tenure, changes have taken place in the social-political life of Armenia, in the consciousness of the people of Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora. I am excited about all the processes that take place in Armenia after the revolution. Of course, there are serious shortcomings in the actions of the new government, but in general, we, Armenians, should be proud of having an independent government that has been engaged in eradicating injustice and corruption in our society, strengthening and modernizing the homeland security system, modifying our mentality and actions in the economy and investment system, social justice, raising the international prestige of Armenia and Artsakh and other issues.
It is very important that the government of Armenia carries out complete disclosure of those criminal cases. Without a just, legitimate, transparent judgment we cannot call ourselves a righteous nation and move forward. All those responsible must be punished, and any compromise is irrelevant. As a citizen of Artsakh, I cannot not to be grateful to Nikol Pashinyan and his group who are trying to protect the interests of Artsakh in international institutions, to involve Artsakh’s authorities in the international-legal settlement process of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.
Here are some of the processes that took place within the 100 days of Nikol Pashinyan’s tenure which inspire me to go to Yerevan and become an active participant of the rally. I call on all the Armenians of the world, those who are not indifferent to the fate of our Armenian people, to participate in this great event and to support Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to make the Armenians dream come true”.
