RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Congratulatory Message on Artsakh’s Independence Day

September 04,2018 13:10

“Dear compatriots,

I am congratulating you on Artsakh’s Independence Day. The people of Artsakh made their choice and proclaimed independence in a very complicated historical situation.

Over the past 27 years, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh suffered wars, destruction, human losses and other hard trials. Nevertheless, the Republic of Artsakh is an undeniable reality now. The past 27 years were marked not only by heroic struggle, but also great achievements and success.

Artsakh continues to live and develop side by side with Armenia and the Diaspora. The triumph of Armenia’s velvet revolution is another evidence of the Armenian freedom-loving spirit and unbending will. Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora are stronger today as they are ever more united and freer.

Human freedom, democracy and national sovereignty are inalienable and indisputable values to us. The comprehensive development of Artsakh’s statehood and society has been and will continue to be one of the most important goals of all Armenians. Artsakh’s security is the center of our attention. The fate of Artsakh is a matter of tender care for all Armenians. This will be the case until we reach a peaceful and equitable settlement for the conflict.

Dear people of Artsakh,

Once again, I am congratulating all of us on this wonderful holiday.
I bow before the memory of all those who died for Artsakh’s freedom/
I wish you peaceful skies, honest earnings and all the best.
Long live freedom!
Long live the Republic of Artsakh!”
