“We see the desire to work more transparently in the government sector after the revolution in Armenia,” the Head of the Unit of Neighborhood East, Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission Mathieu Bousquet, told Aravot after reporter asked him if the European Union changed its approaches and positions towards Armenia following the revolution

According to him, after the regime change in Armenia, there is an obvious desire to have a better government with less corruption. “This has an important effect on business. Security, stability, and a healthy business environment are all important for people who want to invest in any country. The level of corruption is also important for investors so that they can understand how well their investments are protected.”

When asked if the fact that the government has been constantly changing over the past few months in Armenia has an effect on business, the EU official responded, “Any authorities that come into power after being elected that have the values I presented are given preference by us. Regarding changes in government- you will have to ask representatives of the business sector.”
