January 10,2019 19:36

“Before we even knew what Nikol Pashinyan’s opinion was, Alen Simonyan and I voiced our opinions that this is the logical option because we aren’t choosing people, but instead, political forces,” My Step faction deputy Lena Nazaryan told reporters regarding Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that the opposition Vice Speaker of the National Assembly needs to be from the opposition party that had received the most votes, which in this case is Prosperous Armenia.

According to Nazaryan, “It is logical for the third Vice Speaker to be from the party that received the most votes.”

Responding to the question of how many opposition members will be the leaders of parliamentary committees, Lena Nazaryan said that My Step will decide upon this during the next session. “We have several opinions, but no decisions have been made yet.”
