Acting Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Valery Semerikov has sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The message reads, in part, “Please accept my warmest and most sincere congratulations on your appointment as Prime Minister of Armenia. The latest parliamentary elections’ outcome reaffirmed that people in Armenia are hopeful to build a better future for their country with your government’s deep democratic reforms and stand ready to participate in their implementation.
I am convinced that having such strong support, your government will achieve tangible progress in all areas of political, socio-economic and public life. We hope to continue and enhance cooperation with the Republic of Armenia in the CSTO format in a bid to develop the Organization and expand the security potential of CSTO-member states to counter emerging challenges and threats to international and regional security.
