Tatyana Valovaya: ‘EAEU member states have something to learn from Armenia and Armenian business owners’

January 29,2019 16:36

2018 was a very good year for the Eurasian Economic Union. Tatyana Valovaya, the Minister in charge of the Development of Integration and Macroeconomics in the Eurasian Commission, spoke about this during a press conference. She summarized the past year, saying that industrial production has increased within the EAEU. Armenia is the top country in which this took place, followed by Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Valovaya also believes that the EAEU member states have a lot to learn from Armenia and from Armenian business owners. She said that despite the fact that Armenia is currently in a difficult stage of world politics, and the majority of its international borders are closed, after it joined the EAEU, Armenian business owners have been able to find ways to export their products. “In this context, we have a lot to learn from our Armenian colleagues, since they are making the most use out of the opportunities given to them by the EAEU,” Tatyana Valovaya said.
