‘What Pashinyan did was brave’: Zohrab Mnatsakanyan

February 04,2019 19:44

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan spoke to members of the Republic of Artsakh Parliament about issues regarding foreign relations. They also spoke about the current stage of the Artsakh conflict negotiations process.

“What Pashinyan did- speak about peace- was brave. This does not mean that he undermined our determination,” Mnatsakanyan said in reference to a statement Pashinyan made during his press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Nikol Pashinyan had announced that Armenia will never discuss the “territory in exchange for peace” formula. The Azeri Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Pashinyan is simply “avoiding negotiations.”

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said, “Armenia is negotiating for peace. Armenia is a negotiating side, and it guarantees the security of Artsakh. Armenia is participating in the negotiations process and it will continue to do so.”

Let Azeris be aware. We 14 million strong Armenian diasporans watching you. One hundred ninety seven Turk soldiers lost their lives fighting 40,000 resilient Armenians in 1918, you will be next. NO FEAR.
