Tigran Khachatryan: ‘No agenda to leave the Eurasian Economic Union’

March 04,2019 18:33

“The question of Armenia leaving the Eurasian Economic Union has never been discussed. It is not on the agenda. The opposition has its perspective, and the Armenian government has its official perspective,” Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan told reporters.

Regarding the observation that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about the necessity of leaving the EAEU while he was still an opposition deputy, the minister responded, “I was referring to the viewpoint of the current government.”

Regarding claims made by the head of the Bright Armenia party Edmon Marukyan that Gagik Khachatryan was a secondary official during Serzh Sargsyan’s administration, and the Prime Minister needs to remove such officials now, Gagik Khachatryan said, “I will not comment on such opinions. Ask the person who made this comment.”
