Journalists asked Hayk Sargsyan, son of third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan’s brother Alexander Sargsyan, before his court trial, “The press has always stated that businessmen have given 50% of their profits to Alexander Sargsyan. Where is it?” Hayk Sargsyan answered with a question, “Where is it? I’ll ask you as well: Where is it? Bring me the facts.”
The journalists then asked, “Where is the 30 million AMD on Alexander Sargsyan’s bank account from? There is information that it is from that 50 percent.” Hayk Sargsyan exclaimed irritably, “Facts!” Then he added, “I have worked, what is the problem? Appeal to the tax inspectors.”
Regarding his own case, Hayk Sargsyan said that he denies Davit Simonyan’s affirmations, and he has never owned weapons illegally.
He refused to speak about his brother, Narek Sargsyan, who is currently in the process of being extradited and who is accused of illegal drug trafficking and owning weapons illegally. “I am not going to say anything.”
