Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan announced that the bordering village of Chinari in Tavush can no longer be fired upon by Azerbaijan.
Military and political commentator Artur Yeghiazaryan claims that this is misinformation. According to him, the Armenian side has had improvements in terms of its positions, but this does not mean that the village is completely safe from gunfire.
Minister of Defense Spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Aravot Daily, “Even if the question is about Chinari, I will give you the same answer: I will not say anything about place, incident, and time.”
According to Hovhannisyan, the Armed Forces is carrying out its daily activities. “Improving positions is a normal process that is taking place in different locations.”
